The Noodler – May 22, 2017

I had an idea that I wanted to start doing, because it’s my blog and I do what I want.  I love philosophy and psychology.  The Socratic method is essentially how I handle my mental health, because I ask myself questions a lot.

The idea is every day, I will post a “noodler” – a provocative question, hoping to inspire interaction and response.  I will respond for me in my comments, and you can respond in comments, or re-blog with your response and ask your readers to participate too.  Not to get on my soapbox, but I just think we need to spend more time asking questions, and less time thinking about Donald Trump’s latest tweet.

Today’s Noodler:

Imagine your life as a business.  Who is the CEO of your company? Does your mind (logic), body, heart (emotion), or soul (intuition), God, something/someone else run the show? How do you feel about your CEO’s performance? Is it time for personnel changes?

Comment or re-blog with your answers!

  1. Previously: my mind was the CEO. Every thought I had was how it had to be. I allowed my thoughts to dictate everything, and most of my life was a reaction to my brain. It was a poorly run company, with way too many chefs in the kitchen.

Currently: I am allowing my intuition run the show. My mind is too easily influenced by other people, society, and the sheer volume of thoughts. I am allowing myself to go with the flow more than I was previously, and I get quiet and listen for want I want and need. It has built my self confidence and resolve, and I find my life simpler and more easily managed by listening to me – the real me, the little quiet me – more.

  2. This is interesting to me bc I read a dr phil book once that asks about the mgr of your life. so i used to ask myself if my life currently had an outside mgr that i could go to and assess, would i fire that mgr, or what would i say could be improved?

it’s something about separating out the thing in a material form that makes it easier to see iguess. also i just ask myself wwdrphildo. what would dr phil do wwdpd

and nowadays i just try not to think too much and just stay where my hands and feet are. which is pretty easy. but also pretty difficult as i like to daydream, etc.

so basically i have no answers 😉

    1. I hear you though!! Staying present is tough, for sure. I did like the idea of stepping back and looking objectively, because for a long time, i would say I let opinions run my life, and that is not a life for sure.

Sometimes no answers is a lot of answers hahahaha sounds to me like you understand yourself!!! That says you like to listen to your intuition!! ❤️

  3. I trust my intuition to take me where I need to go. I operate from my heart & soul. I’d say I’m the CEO of my life, & I’m loving every moment. Keeping an open heart, I embrace whatever the Universe brings – enjoying the good, being grateful for the bad, cuz the bad makes us grow, evolve, stronger. I became my own best friend. Now, I crack myself up. I feel free, knowing I create in every moment, & can create whatever I choose. I see beauty & magic every day. I’m tuned into & in love with my 3 favorite things: energy, frequency, & vibration. I wake up grateful for everything. I choose to be in a good mood & smile all the time. Happiness is a choice 🕉❤

    1. I love this so much!!! ❤️❤️❤️😘 this is what I’m working towards. I was just thinking this morning how I am light years apart from the me I was 6 months ago even. I am so so glad to hear you’re there – it always makes me grin from ear to ear when a fellow traveler/sister/human has found their center and peace. I’m mostly there, I fall into old habits and thought patterns, but acceptance and gratitude are becoming easier. Yesterday, I thought man I’m in such a great place. And I would have previously doubted it, looked for things to go wrong, etc and I just said “thank you” 🙏🏻namaste!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
