Two Truths & A Lie

Realizing she hasn’t really created anything today, a writer scrambles with a short story…

Anniversary date night. Her expectations are high, even if key is low.  He seemed quiet, she worried. Snuggled on the couch, she exclaims after a glass or two of chardonnay – “I know, let’s play a game.  Two truths and a lie.  You first!”

“OK…you love me, I’ll never leave you, we are going to be together forever” he said dismissively as he walked to the door, tossing his key on the table.

“You win.” she whispered to the empty room and missed break up text.
